Am really not fascinated by products with a golden finish or touch up. And I simply hate it when beautiful cars get a golden touch up. In short bling bling is just not my thing. So when I saw this latest gold plated car, I was surely not impressed. Displayed at the Bling on Wheels Show in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates-registered gold-mirror-finish Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG was definitely a sore sight. A C63 AMG goes for about 300,000 AED (about $82,000). I just can’t believe the guy spent that much and more to give this car a golden look.

Transformers hottie Shia Labeouf has had his license suspended for a minimum of a year due to his “refusal of chemical tests” (breathalyzer test) after his accident last July.

The 22-year-old actor was arrested for suspicion of a DUI misdemeanor based on “physical signs” but the charges were eventually dropped as there was no sufficient evidence.Shia underwent surgery for his badly injured left hand and continues to wear a brace to prevent further injury.

 

Britain’s Princess Beatrice may have scored some bargains in London’s post-holiday sales, but she lost her beloved BMW in the process.

Beatrice, 20, the eldest daughter of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was on a break from classes at Goldsmith’s College earlier this week when she parked her car in fashionable west London, and left the keys in the ignition.

A daring thief made off with the princess’s luxury ride – a 17th birthday present from her father, Prince Andrew – even though Beatrice was accompanied by a police protection officer at the time.

London police confirmed Friday that they are continuing to hunt for the missing $25,000 car.

A spokesman at Buckingham Palace had no comment, saying it is a matter for the police.

It’s not the first spate of bad luck for the princess in recent weeks. On Dec. 17, her Norfolk terrier Max went missing, but returned home, safe and well, about two weeks later.

Manchester United winger and soccer god Cristiano Ronaldo completely destroyed his $400,000 Ferrari after he hit a wall in a two-lane tunnel underneath the Manchester Airport earlier this morning. Witnesses said the car was a "mangled wreck" and one of the wheels was found 200 yards away from the vehicle. Oh, and by the way, Ronaldo walked away without a scratch. The Sun reports:

Ronaldo was travelling through a two-lane tunnel at Manchester Airport when he hit the wall – sending parts of the barrier flying across the dual carriageway. Ronaldo was able to get out of the vehicle himself and was spoken to by police at the scene after the smash at 10.20am. A witness said: "The front of Ronaldo’s car was completely mangled. There was metal all over the road and debris – and we had to dodge our way through it. "Ronaldo was just standing at the side of the road looking forlorn and bewildered. "My daughter said to me, ‘Oh my God – that’s Cristiano Ronaldo!’ It’s amazing he was okay because his car looked so bad." A club spokesman said: "Cristiano was involved in an incident this morning. No other cars were involved. "He’s fine and is training as normal with the team this morning."

Matt Dillon was arrested Tuesday night after being pulled over by Vermont state police for excessive speeding.

 

The 44-year-old actor/director clocked at 106 mph traveling on interstate-91 north in the town of Newbury. He was photographed, finger printed and released with a citation to appear at Orange County Court.

What is this? The week of the celebrity driving idiocies? First Charles Barkley is arrested for suspicision of drunk driving, then Matt Dillon is clocked driving at 106mph. Now it’s been reported that Doug Wilson- Trading Spaces designer and host of Moving Up on TLC- was popped with a DUI early Tuesday morning.

 

Wilson was pulled over around 1AM after failing to yield to a police vehicle with its flashing lights on, according to a spokeswoman for the Decatur County Jail.

Well, what’s the lesson, boys and girls? Celebrities aren’t above the law!
